FreezeBlast (AFB) believes very strongly in the advantages of this technology
as well as its environmental benefits, and is continually finding ways to expand
its customer base while simultaneously improving service to existing clients.
AFB has found the unique nature of dry ice blasting to be an ideal solution to
both these requirements. |

Freezeblasting
should be the first choice over all other types of cleaning when any of the following
factors are involved: •
Concern for Surface Abrasion – Surface to
be cleaned must not be abraded, worn down, or substantially altered.
• Avoidance of Grit
Entrapment – Process used for cleaning must not leave any particles
or residue which might inhibit the functioning of machinery. •
Difficult or Excessive Clean Up – Sandblasting,
bead blasting, grit blasting all leave secondary waste that must be removed/cleaned
in addition to the impurity. •
Increase of Toxic or Industrial Waste – When
cleaning toxic materials, the sand or grit from other blasting methods is not
only secondary waste, but it too is considered toxic! … thereby increasing
headaches related to the toxic waste’s proper disposal. •
Complexity of surface – Dry ice blasting can
clean hard to reach areas, including joints, moving parts, pockmarked and tiny
porous surface areas and thin crevices. Disassembly, masking and cleaning time
are "cut to a minimum". •
Critical Production Time – Many types of industrial
or manufacturing equipment can actually be cleaned while still in production.
Since there is no water, no chemicals, no grit …and dry ice is totally
inert, non-combustible, and non-conductive, machines can actually remain running
while being cleaned. • Chemical
Free - When chemical or solvent use is not desired, dry ice is EPA friendly
and safe to the environment. •
Safe Electrical Concerns – Unlike other cleaning
methods which may "wet" the surface, freezeblasting is dry and non-conductive,
thereby reducing the chance of electrical shock or short circuiting the machinery.
• Elimination
of Rinsing and Drying - Once again, saving time and money.
